COLOMBO (NewsRadio); LAUGFS Gas PLC says it has taken a decision not to revise prices of its domestic gas cylinders.
In a statement, the company said although the production cost has increased, it will not revise prices.
LAUGFS PLC last month reduced the price of a 12.5kg Laugfs domestic gas cylinder by Rs.1,290.
Accordingly, a 12.5kg Laugfs domestic gas cylinder is sold for Rs. 3,990 in Colombo at present.
Furthermore, the price of a 5kg gas cylinder was reduced by Rs.516 to Rs.1,596.
Meanwhile, earlier today, Litro Gas company announced that it has decided to reduce its domestic gas cylinder prices with effect from tomorrow (4).
Accordingly, the price of a 12.5kg Litro domestic gas cylinder will be reduced by Rs.100.
Chairman of Litro Gas Company Muditha Peiris said with the revision in price a 12.5kg domestic gas cylinder will be available for 3,638 from tomorrow in Colombo.
A 5kg cylinder has been reduced by Rs.40 to Rs.1,462.
Meanwhile, a 2.3kg cylinder has been reduced by Rs.19 and will be sold at Rs.681 from tomorrow.
Chairman of Litro Gas Company Muditha Peiris attributed the price reduction to the fluctuation in prices in the world market and the favorable exchange rate.
