COLOMBO (NewsRadio); LAUGFS Gas PLC has reduced the prices of its domestic gas cylinders.
LAUGFS PLC said the price of a 12.5kg Laugfs domestic gas cylinder has been reduced by Rs.1,290 with effect from midnight today.
Accordingly, a 12.5kg Laugfs domestic gas cylinder will be sold for Rs. 3,990 in Colombo from tomorrow.
Furthermore, the price of a 5kg gas cylinder has been reduced by Rs.516 to Rs.1,596.
Meanwhile, this morning it was announced that the price of a 12.5kg Litro domestic gas cylinder has been reduced by Rs.1,005 with effect from midnight today.
Litro Gas Company Chairman Muditha Peiris said accordingly, a 12.5kg Litro domestic gas cylinder will be sold for Rs. 3,738 in Colombo from tomorrow.
Furthermore, the price of a 5kg LP gas cylinder has been reduced by Rs.402 to Rs.1,502 while the price of 2.3kg Litro gas cylinder has been reduced by Rs.183 to Rs.700.
Litro Gas Company Chairman Muditha Peiris said the prices have been reduced based on the government-approved pricing formula.
Chairman Peiris attributed the price reduction to a number of factors including the drop in gas prices in the world market and the appreciation of the Sri Lankan Rupee against the US Dollar.
