Lanka Sathosa has once again reduced prices of seven essential commodities.

COLOMBO (NewsRadio); Lanka Sathosa has once again reduced prices of seven essential commodities.

The price reduction is effective as of today at all Sathosa outlets.

Lanka Sathosa issuing a statement said the measure has been taken in order to provide relief to consumers.

Accordingly, the price of a kilogram of white sugar has been reduced by Rs.11 to Rs.218 and a kilogram of local red raw rice has been reduced by Rs.9 to Rs.155.

Furthermore, a kilogram of big onions has been reduced by Rs.6 to Rs.129 while a kilogram of red dhal has been reduced by Rs.19 to Rs.339.

Moreover, a kilogram of wheat flour has been reduced by Rs.15 to Rs.230, a kilogram of local white raw rice has been reduced by Rs.7 to Rs.188 while a kilogram of Red chillies by Rs.75 to Rs. Rs.1,500 by Lanka Sathosa with effect from today.
