COLOMBO (NewsRadio); Level 1 landslide warnings have been issued to residents of several areas in two districts.

Warnings issued by the National Building Research Organisation will be in effect till 7pm.

Accordingly, landslide warnings will be in effect in the Polgahawela Divisional Secretariat area of the Kurunegala district and the Ratnapura, Elapatha, Nivithigala, Kalawana and Eheliyagoda Divisional Secretariat areas of the Ratnapura district till 7 this evening.

Meanwhile, the Department of Meteorology predicts showers or thundershowers at a few places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-western provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts during the afternoon or night.
