Landslide warning has been issued to 12 Divisional Secretariat areas in five Districts.
The National Building Research Organization said landslide warnings will be in effect till 7pm today.
Accordingly, landslide warnings are in effect for residents of Elpitiya and Neluwa Divisional Secretariat areas in the Galle District, Akuressa and Kotapola in the Matara district, Yatiyanthota and Ruwanwella in the Kegalle District, the Eheliyagoda, Kuruwita, Kalawana, Nivithigala and Ratnapura Divisional Secretariat areas in the Ratnapura Distinct and the Ambagamuwa Divisional Secretariat area in the Nuwara Eliya District.
