COLOMBO (NewsRadio); Opposition Member of Parliament Tissa Attanayake says the JVP and its leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake are only good at narrating stories to become popular amongst people.
Speaking to media, MP Attanayake said the JVP cannot translate that popularity into votes at elections.
He said the party has no plans to rebuild the country.
MP Tissa Attanayake claimed that the JVP or its leaders have no practical solutions.
He said the public also remembers the past actions of the JVP.
The Parliamentarian noted that the JVP received a reality check at the last election and it was evident from the percent of votes the party received.
He said the JVP has also been in the government but cannot speak about anything notable that they carried out while being part of state governance.
MP Attanayake said therefore the JVP is not a challenge for his party.
