Hosts Japan finished on top of the Medals Table at the end of Day Five of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games by securing gold medals in Gymnastic and Swimming events.
Japan has 13 gold medals thus far including six from Judo events, four silvers and five bronze medals.
The host nation has won 22 medals in total.
China which claimed gold medals in Diving, Rowing and Weightlifting events yesterday increased its tally to 12.
China’s 27 medal-tally includes six silvers and nine bronze medals.
The United States has won 11 golds, 11 silvers and nine bronzes medals and is in the top three.
The Russian Olympic Committee with seven golds and Australia with six golds are placed fourth and fifth respectively in the standings.
Great Britain, South Korea, Germany, France and Netherlands complete the top 10 of the Medals Table.
62 countries in total have at least one medal at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
No Sri Lankan will feature at the games today.
