The government says the issuance of revenue licenses for vehicles registered in the Central Province has been suspended until the 14th of September, considering the prevailing coronavirus situation in the country.
Issuing a statement, the Government Information Department said during the period, fines will not be imposed on owners of vehicles with expired revenue license.
Meanwhile, the issuance of revenue licenses for vehicles registered in the Sabaragamuwa Province has also been suspended until the 15th of September.
The public will not be required to pay fines for licenses that expire during the period.
