The Department of Immigration and Emigration has decided to temporarily suspend the issuance of passports under the normal service.
Several officers at the Battaramulla Head Office have tested positive for COVID-19.
Accordingly, passports will be issued under the one day service only to individuals who have essential service requirements.
Services will be provided by a minimum number of employees.
