Individual nabbed over May 9 violence

Another individual has been arrested by the Cinnamon Gardens Police over violence reported on the 9th of May.

COLOMBO (NewsRadio); Another individual has been arrested by the Cinnamon Gardens Police over violence reported on the 9th of May.

The Police Media Division said the individual is accused of being part of an illegal assembly, assaulting Police officers and attacking and damaging vehicles opposite the private residence of President Ranil Wickremesinghe and the JOC junction in May.

The arrested individual is a 37-year-old resident of Malabe.

The Cinnamon Garden Police is conducting further investigations.
