An individual from Moratuwa has been arrested for defrauding nearly Rs.40 million through falsified receipts while employed at a private company.

COLOMBO (NewsRadio); An individual from Moratuwa has been arrested for defrauding nearly Rs.40 million through falsified documents and receipts while employed at a private company.

He was arrested within the Colombo Fort Police area by the Special Investigation Unit of the Criminal Investigation Department.

The arrested individual is a 34-year-old from Molpe, Moratuwa.

He is scheduled to be produced before the Mount Lavinia Magistrate’s Court today.

The CID Special Investigation Unit is conducting further investigations.
