An individual has been arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport early this morning, while attempting to smuggle local and foreign currency amounting to Rs.14,060,000 to Dubai.
NewsRadio airport correspondent said Customs officials seized Rs.10 million in Sri Lankan currency, and 20,000 US dollars, from the suspect’s possession.
It was revealed that the suspect is a 27-year-old businessman residing Colombo.
