Leader of Second Generation Uvindu Wijeweera has expressed his intention to contest at upcoming elections.
Uvindu Wijeweera is the son of Rohana Wijeweera, the founder of the JVP.
Speaking during a media briefing in Colombo, Wijeweera said armed conflicts and violence is not in line with society.
He said they are of the view that the country requires a national programme.
Wijeweera claimed they will not take up far-left or far-right politics and will remain neutral.
He said Sri Lanka cannot be become Russia, the United Kingdom, or the United States.
He added they don’t condone violence irrespective of incidents that have occurred in the past, as violence is not condoned in the present day.
