Heavy showers predicted for Tuesday & Wednesday

The Department of Meteorology says there is a higher possibility of rainy condition enhancing over the island from tomorrow.

COLOMBO (NewsRadio); The Department of Meteorology says there is a higher possibility of rainy condition enhancing over the island from tomorrow.

The Met Department accordingly predicts very heavy rainfalls of about 150mm at several places over the island on Tuesday and Wednesday.

It added showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the island during the afternoon or night.

Meanwhile, the general public has been requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
