Samagi Jana Balawegaya Parliamentarian Harin Fernando has been summoned to appear before the Criminal Investigation Department today to record a statement over investigations into the 2019 Easter Sunday attacks.
The MP was informed to be present at the CID at 10am.
MP Harin Fernando was summoned before the CID previously as well, to record a statement over views expressed in Parliament pertaining to the Easter attacks.
The MP also filed a Fundamental Rights petition before the Supreme Court calling for an interim order preventing his possible arrest.
The Attorney General’s Department informed Court that the MP will not be arrested until the 1st of September.
