Leader of the political movement, the 43rd Brigade, Parliamentarian Patali Champika Ranawaka claims the present Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna-led government only has three more Parliamentary seats to lose its simple majority in Parliament.

MP Ranawaka said the government will lose its simple majority in the near future if the Sri Lanka Freedom Party, the alliance of 11 parties led by MPs Wimal Weerawansa and Udaya Gammanpila, and the Samagi Jana Balawegaya work together in an honest manner.

MP Ranawaka said the 43rd Brigade joined a Satyagraha campaign launched by the United National Party adding it will also join protests organized by the SLFP, JVP and government factions, if invited.

MP Patali Champika Ranawaka stated a broad alliance and a common agreement is needed at present adding the country needs a collective effort.

He added groups holding varying opinions must be united, although it is a difficult task.

Commenting on the fuel crisis MP Ranawaka revealed Lanka IOC is gaining massive profits.

The MP claimed Lanka IOC is selling fuel to consumers for excessive rates after receiving fuel from Russia for rates lower than the global prices.
