The JVP claim that the government came to power by promising solutions to problems, but ended up creating issues in all sectors of the economy.
Speaking in Kekirawa yesterday JVP Politburo Member Wasantha Samarasinghe claimed that farmers were left without fertilizer, construction workers without cement, and restaurant cooks without gas to continue with their livelihoods.
He also noted that budget proposals for 2022 will be effective from the 1st of January, where more taxes will be charged on the public to bridge the government budget deficit.
Samarasinghe quoted the farmers as saying the government failed to provide answers to their concerns and is looking in another direction for answers.
The JVP Politburo Member called on the public to support them in their journey to solve the country’s issues
