MP Marikkar said the government disregarded calls by relevant authorities and State Minister Sudarshani Fernandopulle, to impose a lockdown in the country in April.
The Parliamentarian said the government disregarded the opposition, health experts and other authorities’ requests to enforce a lockdown to mitigate the third wave.
Commenting on the decision to reopen liquor stores amidst quarantine curfew, Parliamentarian Nalin Bandara Jayamaha said he can responsibly say that not a single Samagi Jana Balawegaya Parliamentarian has a liquor store permit.
