A meeting of the government Parliamentary group was held this morning under the patronage of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa at the Temple Trees.
The meeting focused on this week’s Parliamentary sitting and the current situation in the country.
A number of issues including resolving the power crisis, the use of renewable energy sources and the development of an export economy were discussed.
President Rajapaksa said more attention must be directed to renewable energy in the future.
Minister of Finance Basil Rajapaksa meanwhile detailed the programme being implemented to increase the country’s export earnings.
