The Government Medical Officers Association has handed over a petition containing signatures of 15,000 medical practitioners against the recent tax revisions to the President.
The GMOA handed over the signed petition to the Presidential Secretariat today (11).
Media Spokesman of the GMOA Dr. Chamil Wijesinghe said doctors representing all provinces signed the petition.
Doctors, professionals and several associations have already organised protests against the new tax amendments.
The GMOA is demanding authorities to scrap the current tax amendments and present a fair tax policy for all.
