COLOMBO (NewsRadio); Vice-President of the Supreme Lanka Coalition Udaya Gammanpila has called for a broad opposition alliance to contest the upcoming Local Authorities Election.
Speaking to media in Colombo, MP Udaya Gammanpila said a broad alliance should be formed to rebuild the country.
He said the government is planning to delay the conduct of the Local Authorities Election citing lack of funds.
MP Gammanpila noted that the government should not be allowed to postpone elections.
He also noted that the opposition should form a broad alliance with experienced and competent individuals to alleviate the sufferings of the people.
