COLOMBO (NewsRadio); A total of four special centres will be established for the 2022 GCE Advanced Level Examination.
The Commissioner-General of Examination, Amith Jayasundara said in a statement that a special centre for prison inmates will be established within the Colombo Magazine Prison premises, two centres in Ratmalana and Tangalle for special needs children and one at the Apeksha Hospital in Maharagama for students receiving treatment at the hospital.
Accordingly, the A/L exam will be conducted at 2,200 centres across the country.
Commissioner-General of Examination Amith Jayasundara noted that 331,709 students including 278,196 school applicants are scheduled to sit at the exam. 53,513 private applicants will also sit the 2022 A/L exam.
The 2022 GCE Advanced Level Examination will be worked off from the 23rd of this month to the 17th of February.
Meanwhile, the government has announced that scheduled daily power cuts will not be enforced during the A/L exam period.
