COLOMBO (NewsRadio); Four departments and institutions that come under the purview of the Ministry of Wildlife and Forest Resources Conservation have generated record income this year.
The matter was disclosed during the recent progress review meeting chaired by Minister of Wildlife and Forest Resources Conservation Mahinda Amaraweera.
Accordingly, the Department of Wildlife Conservation has generated an income of Rs.1,291 million in 2022, while the National Zoological Department has generated Rs. 414.2 million in profits.
Furthermore, the Department of Forest Conservation has generated Rs.672 million in 2022, while the State Timber Corporation has generated Rs.4,316 million this year according to the Ministry of Wildlife and Forest Resources.
