Three persons including a five-month old infant have died after a lorry had rammed onto a three-wheeler in Watareka, Meegoda.

Police said the accident was reported along the Padukka to Godagama road earlier today.

The 40-year-old driver of the three-wheeler and a 57-year-old woman had also succumbed to injuries.

They are residents of Horana.

The mother of the infant who sustained injuries is receiving treatment at the Kalubowila Teaching hospital.

The 40-year driver of the lorry has been arrested over the accident.
