Excise Department income soars to Rs.170 billion in 2022

COLOMBO (NewsRadio); The Excise Department has generated an income of Rs.170 billion this year.

Commissioner-General Excise Department MJ Gunasiri said the income generated last year was the highest in the in the 110-year history of the Department.

According to data released by the Excise Department, it generated Rs.140 billion in 2021 while in 2020 despite the COVID-19 crisis it generated Rs.121 billion.
