A discussion is scheduled to take place today between Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party, former President Maithripala Sirisena.
The Prime Minister and the former President will hold discussions pertaining to the formation of an all-party government and allocation of Ministerial Portfolios.
Meanwhile, several SLFP members including General Secretary of the party Parliamentarian Dayasiri Jayasekara held discussions with the Prime Minister yesterday.
Accordingly, following talks between Prime Minister Wickremesinghe and former President Sirisena, a decision will be taken on the SLFP’s stance on taking up posts in the new government.
