The opposition claims all measures taken by the government to mitigate the COVID-19 crisis have been a failure.

Speaking during a media briefing in Colombo today, Parliamentarian Tissa Attanayake said the entire government including the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 should be held responsible for the failures.

MP Attanayake is of the view that the Task Force should not be solely blamed for the calamity.

He said no one should save the government which has mishandled the COVID-19 crisis.

MP Tissa Attanayake claimed those in the government are part of the Task Force and have appointed the remaining members and therefore it is evident that the approach of the present administration has led to the current crisis.
