COLOMBO (NewsRadio); A total of eight persons have been sentenced to death by the Kalutara High Court after being found guilty of committing a murder in 2003.
The death penalty was pronounced by Kalutara High Court Judge Pradeep Abeyratne.
The Attorney General filed indictments against the eight individuals, aged between 44 and 59, before the Kalutara High Court over a murder reported on the 24th of March 2003 in Kalutara South.
