The National Election Commission convened for a discussion this afternoon (3).
Election Commissioner General Saman Sri Ratnayake said the date to begin accepting nominations for the Local Government Election will be announced before Thursday (5).
The Election Commission has planned to conduct the Local Government Election prior to the 10th of March 2023.
The Commission stated that the candidates elected will be Gazetted before the 20th of March.
