State Minister of Education Reforms, Open Universities and Distance Learning Promotion Susil Premajayantha says the subject Ministry launched the e-thaksalawa programme a while ago, which has developed content and the syllabus for school children.
Speaking to media, the State Minister added five to six million people visit the website daily while 180,000-200,000 persons have permanent access.
He noted the data and content in the system is free of charge, while adding that children will only be able to access the system for educational purposes, and it will not allow them to play games.
