COLOMBO (NewsRadio); Two individuals have been arrested in Kalpitiya for the possession of 2kg of ICE narcotics.
The Police Media Division said the duo was arrested while inspecting a three-wheeler during a raid conducted along the Kalpitiya Jetty road.
The estimated value of the seized narcotic is Rs. 35 million. The arrested persons, aged 39 and 49 are residents of Kalpitiya and Mattakkuliya.
They are scheduled to be produced before the Puttalam Magistrate’s Court today.
The Kalpitiya Police is conducting further investigations.
