Direct flights between Poland and Sri Lanka have been inaugurated.
The first flight from Chopin International Airport in Warsaw, Poland landed at the Bandaranaike International Airport around 5:35 this morning.
NewsRadio airport correspondent said 230 passengers were on board the flight.
Polish Airlines will operate between Sri Lanka and Poland until the 31st of March 2022 during winter.
The airline will also carry passengers from Western Europe, Scandinavian countries, Baltic countries, and Central and Eastern Europe to Sri Lanka.
The airline is scheduled to operate three days a week; Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday.
