World Health Organisation Representative in Sri Lanka Dr. Alaka Singh has commended the country’s vaccination drive.
Singh said the government has initiated a successful vaccination programme.
Dr. Singh Singh held a round of discussions with Minister of Health Keheliya Rambukwella yesterday.
The WHO representative also responded positively to the provision of emergency medical facilities to Sri Lanka and pointed out that talks will also be held with the European Union on the supply of oxygen.
A statement issued by the Ministry of Health said the WHO representative highlighted that Rapid Antigen testing kits will be provided to Sri Lanka based on the demand adding that necessary steps will be taken.
