Another eight persons succumbed to the novel coronavirus during the past 24 hours.

The Department of Government Information said Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 related death toll increased to 16,415.

Four males and four females were among the victims.

Three males were over 60 years of age while one was between the ages of 30 and 59.

Of the female victims, three were over 60 years, while one was between 30 and 59 years.
