Sri Lanka’s coronavirus death toll surpassed 16,000 today.
30 COVID-19 related fatalities were confirmed, raising the country’s virus death toll to 16,024.
The Government Information Department said 20 males and 10 females were among the individuals who succumbed to the virus yesterday.
Five males and a female were identified as between 30 and 59 years of age while 15 males and nine females were identified as 60 years or above.
