Minister of Health Keheliya Rambukwella says future decisions will be reached based on the pattern of the coronavirus two weeks into lifting quarantine curfew.
Speaking at a media briefing, Minister Rambukwella said some restrictions have to be enforced.
The Minister said interprovincial travel continues to be suspended on a scientific basis, especially trains, as more commuters stand while travelling as seat capacities are less.
The Health Minister said the coronavirus situation will be assessed during a two-week period while a suitable decision will be reached.
He meanwhile requested the public to halt nonessential travel as much as possible during the next two weeks.
