The Director General of Health Services has detailed nine more services that will be permitted to function during the quarantine curfew period.
Accordingly, court functions for urgent and essential matters as decided by the Judicial Service Commission and Provincial Councils, Chief, District and Divisional Secretaries, and Government Agents’ Offices can function.
The statement by the Director General said import, export and local manufacturing industries as well as print and electronic media activities should be maintained with minimum staff.
Meanwhile individuals engaged in agricultural related industries will be allowed to cross provincial boundaries.
The Director General added dates and times to open essential shops will be decided by the District COVID-19 Steering Committee.
Furthermore, airports and ports, the Board of Investments and the Export Development Board have been advised to operate with a minimum number of employees.
It has also been allowed to call in accounts staff to prepare salaries for both state and private sector institutions with a permission letter from the head of institution.
