COVID recoveries in the country increase to 608,719

The number of COVID-19 recoveries recorded in the country has increased to 608,719.

The Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health said 244 COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospitals today.

The number of COVID-19 cases confirmed in the country increased to 644,060 following the detection of 988 patients yesterday.

19,175 persons are currently receiving treatment for the coronavirus at several facilities across the country.

Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 related death toll remains at 16,166.
