COVID cases in Sri Lanka rise to 650,802

The number of COVID-19 cases confirmed in the country has risen to 650,802.

The Department of Government Information said 662 persons tested positive for the virus thus far today.

Accordingly 16,201 persons are currently receiving treatment for coronavirus at several facilities across the country.

Earlier today, 121 persons who recovered from COVID-19 were discharged from hospitals, raising the number of recoveries in the country to 618,262.

Meanwhile Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 death toll remains at 16,339.
