Another 641 coronavirus cases have been added to Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 caseload.
The Ministry of Health said the cases were reported between the 23rd and the 30th of September but were not added to the national tally during the past eight days.
Accordingly, the number of COVID-19 cases confirmed in Sri Lanka has risen to 524,191.
31,780 coronavirus infected individuals are currently receiving treatment at home or at various facilities across the country.
Meanwhile, 421 persons have recovered from COVID-19 and have been discharged from hospitals during the past 24 hours, raising the number of recoveries in the country to 479,182.
Meanwhile, yesterday, another 44 coronavirus related fatalities were confirmed in Sri Lanka, raising the death toll to 13,229.
