Another 430 COVID-19 cases detected in Sri Lanka

Another 430 COVID-19 cases have been detected today in the country, raising the number of confirmed infections to 579,564.

Another 430 COVID-19 cases have been detected in Sri Lanka today, raising the number of confirmed infections to 579,564.

All new cases have been linked to the New Year COVID-19 cluster.

Accordingly, the Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health said 7,486 persons are currently receiving treatment for coronavirus at several facilities across the country.

Earlier today, 10,144 persons who recovered from COVID-19 were discharged from hospitals, raising the number of recoveries in the country to 557,326.

Sri Lanka’s coronavirus death toll is currently at 14,734.
