Another 36 COVID deaths confirmed in Sri Lanka today

Another 36 coronavirus related fatalities have been confirmed in Sri Lanka, raising the death toll to 15,844.

Another 36 coronavirus related fatalities have been confirmed in Sri Lanka, raising the death toll to 15,844.

The Director General of Health Services in a statement said all 36 deaths occurred yesterday, the 13th of February.

20 males and 16 females were among the victims.

30 persons, 15 males and 15 females among the group that succumbed to the virus, were 60 years of age or above.

Meanwhile, five males and a female between 30 and 59 years of age also passed away yesterday after contracting the novel coronavirus.
