Minister of Health Keheliya Rambukwella says the government has taken all steps possible to mitigate the spread of coronavirus.
Speaking to media after attending a function in Kandy, Minister Rambukwella said people must ensure the government’s efforts will not be in vain.
The Health Minister added more than 75% of Sri Lanka’s population has been fully vaccinated making Sri Lanka one of three or four countries to achieve this feat.
He noted the administering of booster shots have also commenced for those above 60 years of age.
The Minister said people’s behaviour will determine the future of Sri Lanka and decide if the economy remains on a decline or not.
