The quarantine procedure for persons arriving in Sri Lanka has been amended once again.
Accordingly all arrivals will be directed to a quarantine hotel, centre or Secure Certified Level One Hotel.
All arrivals including fully vaccinated individuals will be subject to a PCR test upon arrival.
Persons who have not been vaccinated against COVID-19 or have only received one dose of a vaccine must undergo mandatory quarantine for 14-days, even if the test returns negative.
Fully vaccinated individuals will not have to undergo quarantine if the PCR test returns negative.
The Ministry of Health said however persons who return positive results upon arrival or those who test negative upon arrival and test positive after 14-days in quarantine, will be directed for treatment.
The new directives will also affect diplomats and representatives of international organisations.
