All travellers to Sri Lanka will be required to submit a certificate to the airport medical unit certifying that they have received both coronavirus vaccinations before arriving in the island.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka said medical reports containing PCR test results obtained within 72 hours of arrival in Sri Lanka must be uploaded online.
The new regulations will be effective from the 1st of January.
Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority Upul Dharmadasa said after assessing the reports, the traveller will be informed from Sri Lanka if they meet the requirement to visit the country.
