744 COVID-19 cases detected yesterday

744 individuals tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday.

One individual among the group was identified as an overseas arrival.

Sri Lanka’s coronavirus cases rose to 570,672.

356 individuals recovered from COVID-19 and were discharged raising total recoveries to 543,823.

The Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health said 12,294 persons are currently receiving treatment for coronavirus at several facilities.

22 individuals succumbed to the coronavirus increasing Sri Lanka’s virus death toll to 14,555.
