Health officials today revealed that 60 expectant women and 89 children below the age of 18 have succumbed to COVID-19 during the third wave of the coronavirus.
Director of the Family Health Bureau Dr. Chithramalee de Silva speaking at a media briefing at the Health Promotion Bureau today said expectant women can receive the booster vaccine dose.
Dr. de Silva said expectant women who are fully vaccinated can obtain the Pfizer booster shot.
The draft of the 21st Amendment to the Constitution is expected to be finalized by next week.
