440 persons who recovered from COVID-19 have been discharged from hospitals, raising the number of recoveries in the country to 580,220.
The Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health said 18,924 persons are currently receiving treatment for coronavirus at several facilities across the country.
The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases rose to 614,659 with the detection of 1,181 new infections yesterday.
Sri Lanka’s coronavirus death toll is currently at 15,515.
