The number of vaccine doses administered in Sri Lanka against COVID-19 has surpassed the 26 million-mark.
The Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health said a total of 26,002,445 vaccine doses have been administered in the country since January.
Meanwhile, 34,188 individuals were inoculated yesterday.
Accordingly, 27 individuals received the first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine, while 4,132 persons were given the second jab yesterday.
Meanwhile, 15,958 persons were administered the first dose of the Sinopharm vaccine while 6,700 individuals were administered the second Sinopharm jab.
619 individuals also received the first jab of the Pfizer vaccine while 63 individuals were given the second Pfizer dose.
Furthermore, 2,767 persons received the first dose of the Moderna vaccine, while eight persons received the second jab.
The Health Ministry added that a total of 3,914 individuals also received the second dose of the Sputnik-V vaccine yesterday.
Accordingly, 11,610,686 individuals have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in Sri Lanka.
