The number of vaccine doses administered in Sri Lanka against COVID-19 has exceeded 22 million.
The Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health said 22,229,130 vaccine doses in total have been administered in the country since January.
320,283 vaccine doses against COVID-19 were administered yesterday.
Accordingly, 3,417 individuals were administered the first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine, while 272 persons received the second jab.
Meanwhile 88,441 persons were administered the first dose of the Sinopharm vaccine while 200,961 individuals received the second dose.
During yesterday’s vaccination drive, 1,286 individuals have been inoculated with the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine while 24,550 persons had received the second Pfizer jab.
Furthermore, 30 persons were given the first jab of the Moderna vaccine while 1,326 individuals had received the second dose of the Sputnik-V vaccine yesterday.
